Kwartet Arquitetura designed an apartment located in a residential neighbourhood of Sao Paulo, Brazil that gathers luxurious and comfortable modern furniture in a well-designed space. Rearranged for a young couple who travels quite a lot, the apartment was personalized to display a beautiful collection of travel memorabilia in the living room, creating a “travel corner”. The spaces were also prepared to welcome children in the future. A master bedroom, a guest bedroom and an office space that can eventually be transformed into a children’s room make up the private spaces of the apartment. The entertaining and living spaces are displayed around a central living room that features a comfy white Eames Chair that sets the tone for the colour palette. Some special items were custom designed by Kwartet Arquitetura for this residence: “We specified the finishes and design all the woodwork. We also design the upper door trim higher, up to the ceiling, to create a sensation of higher high ceiling. The baseboard follow the same concept. The Tauari flooring and the wood home theater panel provides a warm atmosphere contrasting with the bright yellow bar table and gray buffet lacquer. Classic design pieces stand alongside contemporary ones. The headboard was built with eight mdf panels upholstery with linen and sconces fixed on the surface. The white and golden petit poa wallpaper and the dark blinds dressed the room.”
