We came across a modern and interesting residence located in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The masterminds behind the design and construction of this beautiful residential building are a young team of multi-award winning architects based in Sydney, Australia - MCK Architects. They struggled to find the best solutions for this particular project, replacing a 1960’s house with a splendid contemporary version of itself “with a focus that now engages as much on the surrounding garden as it does the panoramic CBD view“. Named the Flipped House, the modern house features adaptations to the existing floor plan up the point of literally “flipping” the interior spaces with garden elements, creating a stronger, more enhanced connection to the outside spaces. “Details, fixtures and fittings are sensitive to the original home“, but the atmosphere, character and elegance of this new residence make it a candidate for a modern dream home, don’t you think?
