We recently ran across this odd, yet very cool design. What you see is what you get: the base of this coffee table is a genuine plane engine. According to Design Milk, the Cylinder Radial Engine Table was created by using a base that comes from a US Army Boeing-Stearman PT-13 and was acquired from the Canadian Museum of Flight, Langley, British Columbia. What we really appreciate about this unusual project is that even though its base is highly mechanical and vintage, the overall appearance of the design is contemporary. We believe it could fit well in a minimalist modern decor, don’t you agree? The table is available for purchase online on Decoratum Gallery and the price is £19,750.
