We are certain “Up”- the lovely animation movie by Pixar- did not go unnoticed for most of you out there. And since Freshome covers all major unconventional architecture projects across the world, this home really got our attention. An exact replica of the “Up” house was recently constructed by Bangerter Homes, in Herriman, Utah. “There weren’t blue prints out there for the ‘Up’ house it’s an animated movie. So we scaled it out using our experience as custom homebuilders,” asserted Adam Bangerter, who had to ask for permission from Disney in order to turn this project into reality. The surface of the house is 2800 square feet and it consists of four bedrooms. And yes, animation fans, the home is currently up for sale for the cost of $400,000 (in an area where houses average $270,000).
